Side Gigs

When we arrived in Venice by boat, the city was dead quiet. No a single person was on the street, all of the house shutters were closed. There was not a single beep of a car, or roar of an engine, nothing. As far as we could tell, the only living thing here was a shaggy grey cat who scowled at us as we interrupted the perfect silence with our rumble of suitcases down the stone streets.
