Good Templar Park
Good Templar Park is a spot of land purchased by the Scandinavians that settled in Chicago about 100 years ago.
Families would leave the city in the summer to enjoy the big woods. They listened to music at the natural amphitheater and played friendly soccer matches between their Swedish, Norwegian and Danish teams.
Many of the cottages that were built in the park exist today, and each year their owners open their doors for the annual Cottage Walks. This little poster was illustrated by me to share some of the joy and wonders of the lovely park.
