AmazonSmile

My role: Lead UX/UI Designer for Shopping Design. I was responsible for all UX work across AmazonSmile, Charity List, and our internal charity platform.

What is it?: AmazonSmile is a simple way to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. The AmazonSmile experience is available at smile.amazon.com. When you shop at AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added benefit that AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. You can choose from over one million organizations to support.

What we did: While on the team, I helped launch AmazonSmile within the Shopping app for iOS and Android phones. I also partnered closely with our Behavioral Scientist to conceptualize, launch and learn from 16 experiments to help us better understand how we could support, educate and guide more charitable shopping within the AmazonSmile experience.

Who I worked with: As a part of the Shopping Design team at amazon, I collaborated across every aspect of the Amazon experience, working to negotiate space for AmazonSmile to reach customers within much larger templates. I worked beside Business Analysts, Software Development Engineers, Support Engineers, Behavioral Scientists, Product Managers, and Researchers.
